The emergency night reception of mob e. V. for the homeless persons proposes all year long 11 places for men and 5 places for women. You can have breakfast and a warm meal at noon in Kaffee Bankrott. You also have the possibility of having a shower and of washing your clothes. There is always a person present to whom you can address in case of problem.

As the life in community is possible only if each cooperates, there are some rules that everyone has to respect. If the opposite occurs, the accommodation will be refused.

1. The person in charge of the night reception and the person in charge of the coffee have the authority. All the boarders owe respect their decisions and their orders.

2. You can stay 8 weeks maximum. In exceptional cases, an extra time of 4 weeks can be granted after discussion. We are opened from 7:00 pm to 10:00 am the following morning. The admittance is made until 11:00 pm at the latest. From midnight, the lights must be switched off; it is no longer possible to make noise or to take a shower.

3. The boarders having contagious diseases are asked to indicate it to the person in charge. We do not want to refuse people, but we must be informed to be able to, if necessary, organize medical care. After a delay of five days, a certificate of medical examination must be delivered.

4. The following morning all the boarders must be up at 9:00 am and dormitories must be freed at 10:00 am. Beds must be made and the rooms tidied up.

5. Alcohol and drugs are forbidden in our premises. All the products must be handed over to the person responsible for your admittance and will be given back to you the next day. It is strictly forbidden to smoke in the dormitories and toilet because of the fire risk. You can go to the rest room to do that.

6. All forms of violence - physical and verbal violence, but also threats, racist comments and sexual harassment - are to be banished. All kinds of weapons, including pepper sprays, are forbidden at the night shelter. If somebody is in possession of any of these, he has to give them as soon as he arrives to the person in charge. They will be returned the next day.

7. Dogs are accepted after negotiation. Every dog owner is responsible for his animal and has to see to it that it doesn’t hurt or disturb anybody. If there are already dogs the person in charge can refuse the entry of new dogs.

8. Personal objects can stay in the dormitories during the day. However, we decline any responsibility for the things which disappear. You can use, to keep them safe, cupboards but padlocks are not supplied, you have to bring them you.

9. The boarders have to change their sheets every Tuesday. People having incontinence problems can be lent an impervious sheet.

10. We ask everyone to regularly wash their clothes. If we notice inconveniences caused by the smell, we would indicate it to the person concerned directly.

11. The next day, the dormitories have to be cleaned and tidied.

12. Nothing (clothes, shoes, bags, etc.) has to lie about; and under beds and cupboards. Also, no object must be stored on top of the cupboards. The morning shift has for order to immediately remove them. Also, showers and toilet must be left clean after having been used. It means that the toilet things will also be removed.

13. Please tell us without waiting about possible tensions or problems with the other boarders.

14. During the first week an interview with a person of the team is compulsory, in order to think, if necessary, about a plan of assistance. Another interview will take place at the end of the eight weeks.

15. You have to tell us when you go out or when you leave the night shelter. In this way, the place cannot be reserved by somebody else if you gave us a date of return and that you paid beforehand for this lapse of time.

16. The contribution is 1,50 euro for one night (up till eight weeks) and of 2,00 euro the night from the ninth week. You can pay in advance or the same day. From more than three days of delay of payment, your bed can be attributed without advance notice to somebody else.

17. If the points previously mentioned are not respected, you will receive a warning and we can even, in case of serious fault, forbid you to return.
